Criminals Have no Place in ABUAD, New Students Warned

The management of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD) has warned the 1,946 matriculating students of the university that those with tendencies for drug abuse, cultism and rape will have no room to operate in the school.

The ABUAD Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Michael Ajisafe, said this during the 9th matriculation ceremony of the institution held Tuesday in Ado Ekiti.

Ajisafe, who explained that the institution has zero tolerance for all forms of rascality, added that the university has got accreditation for all its courses and that there won’t be any reason for students to be afraid of the future.

He advised the students not to abuse the academic independence they enjoy on campus, saying any decision they take at this moment would either truncate or enhance their future’s glories.

According to him, ABUAD was ranked in 2017 as the second best private university in Nigeria and 13th on the Webometric ranking among the 268 universities in the country, describing the feat as novel in the
history of education in the country.
