The background of Neuroscience in Afe Babalola University, Ado (ABUAD) was opened up by the first Brain Awareness Week (BAW) program organised by Philip A. Adeniyi in partnership with Dr Mrs. Yemi Ojo and Dana Alliance for brain initiatives, New York, USA between 17th and 19th of April, 2013 (see the full report) and 2014.
The major boost to our present initiative was our successful bid for the hosting right of the 13th Neuroscience conference of the Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN) scheduled to take place between 11 - 14th November, 2015.
The Founder, Aare Afe Babalola, B.Sc (Econs) Lond; LL.B (Hons) Lond; FFPA, FNIALS, FCIArb, LL.D; Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN); Doctor of Letters (LL.D); Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR), and Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) is one of the major sponsors of the forthcoming Neuroscience Conference to be hosted by Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD), Nigeria.
