College of Law

Welcome to the College of Law

The College of Law, Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti, is a uniquely serene learning environment where students and staff stretch each other’ s imagination by asking questions and challenging assumptions, in accordance with the great vision of the University’s Founder, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, OFR, LL.D. The core function of the College is to train all-round law students, with the highest standard of integrity, professional ethics, and outstanding character. Students are also exposed to the practical aspects of the profession and the need for pro bono services for indigent citizens.

The academic staff are seasoned scholars, of national and international repute, who employ the contemporary methods of teaching in legal education. Students are exposed to the problem-solving situation, thus,  developing a capacity for analytical and critical thinking. The modern I.C.T. facilities further provide a most conducive environment for learning,  knowledge acquisition, and participation in national and global discourse on diverse subjects.

The law programme trains students to use the law as a tool for the resolution of various social, economic, and political conflicts in the society.

Our mission is to produce world-class legal professionals capable of efficiently solving problems not only through orthodox methods but more especially, through dynamic innovative Alternative Disputes Resolution (ADR), using the College Law Clinic as a platform.

We distinguish ourselves by championing character-building, educational excellence, and sterling discipline for our students.
