Thank You visit to Ewi-in-Council

The Founder/ President Emeritus of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti has led the University Council and Management Staff on a thank you visit to the Ewi, His Royal Majesty Oba Rufus Adejugbe Aladesanmi III and his Council of Chiefs. The visit which took place on Wednesday, 22nd day of February, 2012 also has in attendance, the distinguished Lecturer at the 3rd Founders day anniversary who was also the President European Business Assembly and the President, Rector of Europe, Prof Wil Goodheer.

Aare Afe Babalola expressed gratitude to the oba for been a pillar of support to the University; Aare who won two awards from Socrates Organization, Oxford and the European Business Assembly promised to display the Award Certificates in the palace as an inspiration to others that thirst for excellence.

In his remark, Prof. Goodheer thanked the Ewi for the warm reception accorded him. He urged well meaning citizens to support Aare Afe Babalola’s vision of transformatory education. Prof. Goodheer promised to use his network of contacts for the development of the institution especially through international linkages.

Responding, His Royal majesty, Oba Aladesanmi III commended Aare Afe Babalola‘s positive contributions to mankind adding that he should not relent on his oars but remain focused on his goals. He urged all and sundry to support ABUAD. He, on behalf of his Chiefs, presented gifts to Prof. Goodheer and the Founder.

Other dignitaries that accompanied the Founder and the ABUAD delegation to the occasion include Representatives of the Governor of Niger State and that of the Fountain University, Osogbo.

Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor who introduced all dignitaries to Ewi in Council praised the Oba for supporting the University. She prayed for good health and long life for both the Founder and the Oba.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof Micheal Ajisafe while giving the vote of thanks assured the Oba of the University’s preparedness to achieve breakthroughs in all facets of life. He thanked the Ewi-in –Council and asked for more support in the years ahead.
