Afe Babalola University has a very functional and efficient Health Centre known as ABUAD Health Clinic. The Centre is headed by a seasoned Medical Director of many years experience from both the public and private health sectors. There is also a Matron, and other doctors and nurses. The Clinic also has Dedicated vehicles for emergencies, well equipped medical laboratories, clinic rooms for male and female patients, dedicated power supply, steady supply of original drugs and a preventive, awareness and counselling unit.
The University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Federal Medical Centre, Ido Ekiti. This has made the Federal Medical Centre to be upgraded to a full-fledged Teaching Hospital. The name of the Medical Centre is now Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido – Ekiti and currently having Dr Majekodunmi Ayodele as the Chief Medical Director (CMD).
However, the Founder, Aare Afe Babalola has invested over N 2 billion on medical infrastructure in the Teaching Hospital which actually facilitated the upgrading.
In addition to the above the University is in partnership with the University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti for diagnosis and treatment of more serious sicknesses and also international teaching hospital.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The University wishes to inform you that the End-of -Year Break for all students will commence on 15th December,2024.In line with this, all students are expected to vacate their halls of residence and the University premises and proceed on Vacation.
We kindly request that you make all necessary arrangements for transportation to ensure your wards leave the campus promptly.
As we wish your family a joyful and restful holiday, the University Council and the entire Management extend warm greetings for a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Please note that students are expected to resume on Saturday,4th January 2025, and academic activities will commence on Monday, 6th January 2025.
