The former coach of the Nigeria National Football Team [The Super Eagles] Mr. Samson Siasia was at the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti to honour the Founder, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, who has been his long term fan.
It was at the grand finale of the University Sports League which was won by Afe Babalola University. The highlight of the which event witnessed the toast of the game and veteran on the pitch was Samson Siasia’s presentation of “Tango 12” football to the Founder.
He explained that the “Tango 12” football which is the first of its kind to be played anywhere in the world will first be used in Euro 2012 and praised Aare for his efforts in both sports and educational development.
The Founder, in his remarks thanked Mr. Siasia for the honour done him and pledged the furtherance of his support towards sports infrastructural development and culture in Nigeria Universities. Aare Afe Babalola thanked Bells University Football Team for identifying with the vision and mission of this great citadel of learning.
