INFORMATION ON RESUMPTION FROM THE NUC COMPULSORY BREAK FOR HIGHER INSTITUTIONS.

Dear Esteemed Parents and Students,

Upon the directive of the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC), that schools be shut during the 2023 elections in Nigeria, students went on break from the 18th of February, 2023, after they had successfully completed the First Semester Examinations.

On the conclusion of elections, our students will resume for the Second Semester, 2022/2023 Session, from Monday 20th of March, 2023. Resumption has been staggered and students are requested to resume on the day allocated to them. Please find below further information on resumption.

Students will resume to campus based on the days allotted to their Colleges. However, provisions have been made for siblings who are in different colleges to enable them to resume on the same day. The table below shows the days on which each college is expected to resume.

Please note that completion of outstanding school fees for the 2022/2023 Academic Session is a precondition to being cleared for resumption at the gate for all students. Thus, all parents/ guardians, are expected to pay up their wards outstanding fees. Kindly make payment using the online platform on the University website/student’s portal.

Students must print copies of receipts for: (i) the drug test of five thousand naira (N5,000.00) only and (ii) Balance of School Fees. These will be used for clearance at the gate.  

On arrival to the University, the step-by-step procedure is as follows:

Stage 1: Security– Cars are packed outside;

Stage 2: Security: Dropping, Checking and Tagging of Luggage;

Stage 3: Bursary- School Fees Balance Confirmation;

Stage 4: Medical– Drug Test (payment confirmation);

Stage 5: Transportation- Moving to the Halls of Residence.

A late resumption penalty of N10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira only) will be charged daily from Monday 27th of March, 2023.

Lectures for the second semester 2022/2023 academic session shall commence on Monday 27th March, 2023.
