Christian vs Muslim Saga in ABUAD: The Fact

0

Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti is a world-class secular University. We admit and NEVER force any student to join any or reject any faith. However, we guide our secularity jealously by NOT allowing students to WEAR their RELIGIONS in classes.

Muslims are Free to wear their hijabs and related religious symbols on Fridays TO THE MOSQUES; and the Christians are also allowed to wear their symbols TO THE CHURCH.

The circulating video is that of 7 students (out of thousands) who wore their religious symbols to the classroom. These students, though sophomores, are new and majorly Nigerian students who recently returned from Sudan.

Our practice is seemingly new to them. But they are adapting, and will surely adapt better with time. Parents and well-wishers are advised to contact the Vice-Chancellor or the Registrar or Chairman, Parents Teachers Consultative Forum for clarifications.
