ABUAD TRADE FARE: New Things Take Place in a New World

The real distinction is between those who adapt their purposes to reality and those who seek to mould in the light of their purposes. ABUAD students have distinguished themselves among others in the world with the aim of achieving and breeding new cultures that would enhance effective social orientation among the students.

With collective efforts, ABUAD students have successfully succeeded in organizing a trade fare in the school premises in order to bring about social orientation and sensitization among the students. The event is seen as one of it kind that has never taken place in any of the Nigerian Universities and which is meant to bring new dimension into the social activities of the institution.

The colourful event that was strongly financed by the amiable mother of all ABUAD students – Yeye Aare Baamofin Modupe Babalola, was set aside as part of the programmes scheduled for the celebration of the graduating students.

In view of this, 7th-11th May, 2013 were set aside to bring together the entire ABUAD community to trade and buy goods at a low cost.

Items sold at the event were; Shoes, Cloths, Handbags, Belts, Palm Slippers and other useful materials. Raffle draw was also introduced to the event for those that were able to buy goods from six stands.

The event was initiated by Ogunleye dolapo and Folashade of Accounting Department, ABUAD and supported by Mrs. Catherine Ajayi from venture unit ABUAD.
