QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

In all cases, candidates are required to possess appropriate skills and orientations for respective discipline as well as possess teaching abilities with adequate research experience.

1.     Senior Lecturer: Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate must have a PhD degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Cybersecurity, or related discipline with at least 5 years of post-qualification, full time, relevant teaching and research experience in a university or comparable institution of higher learning. Candidate must possess evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals published both locally and internationally in addition to evidence of ability to supervise postgraduate students including doctorate students in the area of expertise. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been a Lecturer 1 for a minimum of three years.

The candidate must have a PhD degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Cybersecurity, or related discipline with at least 3 years of post-qualification, full time, relevant teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a university or a comparable institution of higher learning, with evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals. Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence in addition to ability to supervise postgraduate students.

3.     Lecturer II: Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

 Ph.D. degree with specialization in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or Cybersecurity, or related discipline applied for from a reputable university. Evidence of scholarly publications is an added advantage.

Or

Master’s degree in the discipline applied for from a reputable university with evidence of good scholarly publications. Candidate must also have the ability to teach courses at the undergraduate level with evidence of practical skills and competence.

Or

M.Sc holder in the relevant field who has spent a minimum of 3 years as an Assistant Lecturer and has a number of publications in reputable journals may be considered for Lecturer II.

Candidate should possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Cybersecurity from a reputable university and must be on a PhD programme in a university or qualified for a Ph.D. Programme.  A good number of publications  is an added advantage.

TECHNOLOGIST II: COMPUTER SCIENCE, SOFTWARE ENGINEERING AND CYBER SECURITY

Technologist II

Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Candidate should possess HND in Software Engineering, Cyber security or Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable institution with hands-on experience in Software development, Algorithm design, Database Management, Software Testing/Debugging. Software development and Mobile Application development.
