Afe Babalola is Nigeria’s highest investor in education and philanthropy!

The founder and president of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN has been described as the highest investor in educational and philanthropic causes. This was disclosed by Professor Yemi Akinseye-George, Dean, Faculty of Law, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Ondo State and former Special Assistant to the Attorney General and Minister for Justice of the Federation. Prof. Akinseye –George was speaking as a guest lecturer at the Distinguished Personality Lecture of the University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association. In his lecture titled “Humanitarianism in its Rightness: the Role of Aare Afe Babalola in Redefining the Standards of Education in Nigeria”, the guest lecturer traced the history of Aare’s unequalled philanthropy and role in the development of educational sector in Nigeria. Other dignitaries at the occasion, including former President, Olusegun Obasanjo; the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba lamidi Adeyemi III; the Olugbo of Ugbo Land, Oba Obateru Akinruntan and the members of the academia all agreed with the guest lecturer.
