Prof Sidi Osho is from Ogun State, Nigeria. Her Educational background is as follows:

  • PhD in Food Processing and Technology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. January 1993.
  • M.Sc in Food Processing and Technology, Ohio State University; College of Agriculture, USA (December 1981 – September 1982).
  • B.Sc in Food Science, Michigan State University, College of Agriculture, USA (April 1979 to June 1980).
  • Associate Degree in Agriculture, Delta College, University Center, USA (April 1977 to April 1979).
  • Secondary School Education, St Teressa's College, Ibadan, (1971-1976).
  • Primary School Education, All Saints Church School, Ibadan (1962 – 1971).

Professor Sidi Osho until her appointment as the Vice Chancellor of Afe Babalola University is an award winning, action oriented, energetic with over twenty five years experience in teaching, research, food processing and development. She has strong leadership qualities to manage and co-ordinate multi-project and multi-disciplinary projects. Creative in agriculture, food and process development with the ability to communicate with multicultural background. She is an author of several publications in the agriculture, food processing, utilization, fortification, nutrition and related fields like tourism and hospitality management. She has strong interpersonal skills successfully demonstrated in both national and international assignments. Travelled widely in Africa and all over the World while managing research projects for International Development Research Center, Canada (IDRC). United Nation Children Education Fund, (UNICEF), World Bank and UNDP. Prof Sidi Osho is a member of about 17 professional societies that include both National and International societies. She has attended over 70 conferences all over the world presenting conference papers in post-harvest, food processing, nutrition, agriculture, hospitality and recently tourism. She has over 160 publications, some of which are published in learned journal proceedings, monographs, books chapters, training manuals etc.
