V.C with Other Principal Officers meets ABUAD Students
As the 2nd Semester for the 2012/2013 Academic Year commenced in earnest, returning ABUAD Students have been told to steer clear of indiscipline and avoid all social vices on the campus.
The Vice Chancellor, Afe Babalola University, Prof. Sidi Osho, gave the advice while addressing students of the University at the multi-purpose hall on the 6th March, 2013.
She advised them to use the opportunity of being in this great citadel of learning to study to develop themselves to become useful not only to themselves but also to theirparentsand the nationat large. She welcomed the entire students back to school and thanked God Almighty for bringing them back to the university safely after their holiday period.
Prof. Sidi Osho enjoined them to imbibe the values of the institution which include service, integrity, discipline and good conduct. She also told them to embrace dignifying mode of dressing which is highly recommended for ABUAD students.
In her speech, she warned against the use of non-recommended mobilephones on the campus. She also encouraged students to always refer to their Students Handbook to guide them in the way they conduct themselves in the university.
The meeting which was attended by a large number of students was aimed at welcoming them back to the campus and to remind them about the importance of discipline as they strive to attain academic excellence in their chosen field of study.
