ABUAD CELEBRATES VALEDICTORY LECTURE
A Valedictory lecture in honour of Prof. Oluyinka Omolola Akingbade of the Department of Medical Physiology, College of Medicine and Health Sciences of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti was held at the Bimbo Owolabi Hall on the 23rd of May 2012.

According to her, human body is a living formidable machine orchestrated by its creator to serve the needs of Homo sapiens (human beings), who were the terrestrial inhabitants of the earth. She explained that it is mandatory therefore, for every man and woman to have enough understanding of the body system. She stated that, if the body is not properly taken care of, the spirit and the soul will be non-existent. She advised that full knowledge of the normal function will enable human beings to indentify and treat the dysfunction in any area of the body quickly.
In her remarks, the chairman of the day who is also the Vice Chancellor of ABUAD, Prof. Sidi Osho, lauded the academic contributions of Prof. (Mrs.) Akingbade to the development of ABUAD’s College of Medicine.
She urged her to be ABUAD’s ambassador wherever she goes.
The Vice Chancellor later presented her with a gift on behalf of the University.
Responding, she thanked the management and staff for their cooperation during her two and a half years sojourn in the university.
Prof. (Mrs.) Akingbade Omolola praised the Founder, Aare Afe Babalola and his wife, Yeye Modupe Babalola, for bequeathing a worthy educational legacy to mankind. She prayed for good health and long life for the Founder and his entire household.
Present at the occasion were members of the management team of ABUAD, memes of staff and students and the Akingbade family and her well wishers Yeye Aare Modupe Babalola as the special guest of honour at the occasion.
