The All-African Student Union (AASU) has conferred the pace-setting Afe Babalola University, the prestigious award as the Fastest Growing Private University in Africa. The Association which has its members the different countries in Africa with its headquarters in Accra Ghana noted that after a thorough research and evaluation of all private universities in Africa they found it incontestable that ABUAD is the fastest growing private university in Africa.

Also, the founder and President of the University, Aare Afe Babalola, SAN, was conferred with the much-coveted Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Award, 2010, by the same Union. The award which had in the past been conferred to African icons like thabo Mbeki, Kofi Annan and President Olusegun Obasanjo was conferred on the legal icon and foremost educationist due to his unparalleled achievements in education and philanthropy.
