International and local Research group: In FUTA we developed a very strong research group on Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation under which we trained many lecturers to teach our courses in Electronics. I also belonged to the Step B project based in the Department of Agric Engineering and funded by the World Bank

 TEACHING EXPERIENCE: The department of Physics FUTA runs a very attractive degree programme in B. Tech Physics/Electronics in which I have taught most of the core courses in Physics. In the Electronics programme I have taught Basic Electronics, Digital Electronics, Electronics I and Advanced Laboratory. At the M Tech/Ph D Level we offer an option in Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation where I have taught at one time or the other  all the Electronics courses

            My current research efforts are geared towards acquiring the skills and expertice for producing locally equipment which may be available in advanced countries but the technology for producing them have eluded us for so long. The soil resistivity meter and the X-Y plotter, on which we focus attention are equipment that can be purchased in developed countries of the world but producing them in this country is a major land mark. Such an achievement will reduce our dependence on foreign goods. This is the main thrust of our research in the instrumentation research group.     
Creative development: I have worked for the production of low cost equipment for the electronic laboratory, copies of which have been replicated for the use of our students in their electronic practicals at FUTA . Among these are
(i)The design and construction of a 200kHz signal generator with very low output
      impedance. (ii) The design and construction a variable power supply unit with over-current       protection.
