Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University is Prof. M. O. Ajisafe, a Ph.D holder of the Temple University, Philadelphia, USA in Education.

Prof. Ajisafe is a thorough-bred academic as he has acquired over the course of several decades a vast teaching experience garnered in universities in Nigeria and the United States of America. Prof. Ajisafe is a tested administrator having served amongst others as the Head, Department of Physical and Health Education of the University of Benin and also the Dean of the Faculty of Education of the same university. In 1991, Prof. Ajisafe was appointed the first Director of the National Institute for Sports, a position he occupied till 1996.

He is a member of several Professional Associations and is also the author of several articles published in leading academic journals in Nigeria and abroad.
